CSCC Working Groups

Administration: Chair – Mike Alagna  (Motorola Solutions); Vice Chair – Andy Scott (NCTA)
This committee is responsible for the work associated with bylaws, nominations for election to the C-SCC Executive Committee and for leadership offices within the Executive Committee.

Cyber: Chair – Robert Mayer (USTelecom); Vice Chair – Allison Growney (Sprint)
The Cyber Committee is responsible for coordinating the Sector’s cyber-related policy development and planning (e.g., Project 12). This committee also coordinates with the Cross Sector Cyber Working Group.

Measurement Working Group: Chair – Rosemary Leffler (AT&T); Vice Chair – Kathryn Condello (CenturyLink)
This Committee works to develop sector progress indicators and the sector metrics.

Outreach & Education: Chair – Kate Dean (US ISPA); Vice Chair – Anthony Jones (USTelecom)
The Outreach & Education Committee develops the Sector’s overall messaging as well as any transition messaging. This Committee helps to make sure the C-SCC is prepared to educate policy stakeholders on the work of the Communications Sector.

Plans and Reports: Chair – Louise Tucker (Telcordia); Vice Chair – Don Welch (3 U Technologies)
This Committee is responsible for leading the efforts to review the Sector Specific Plan, the Sector Annual Report, and additional work associated with the National Sector Risk Assessment, and any other work items that are derived from the Sector Specific Plan. In addition, this committee leads research and development related areas for the sector.

State / Local: Chair – Mike Alagna (Motorola); Vice Chair – Ernie Gormsen (Verizon)
This Committee coordinates on behalf of the communications sector with key stakeholders to help advance progress on issues impacting critical infrastructure protection and emergency planning and response. The committee consults with government representatives and organizations and private sector entities to ensure appropriate exchanges of information to enhance key initiatives, such as:

  • Access and Credentialing
  • Regionalization of Communications Support
  • National Emergency Communications Plan (NECP)
  • National Cyber Security Awareness

    National Cyber Security Awareness Month
